About Us

Pet Driver's License® was founded in 1995 as Chloe Cards. Chloe, a golden retriever, and her sister Chelsea started a line of greeting cards where Chloe and Chelsea starred in most of the cards.

As her company Chloe Cards grew, the orders became larger and heavier, so it was clear she would need more than her doggie pack to make the deliveries. To remedy this problem, Chloe learned to drive. Although she was a good driver, Chloe was having trouble with the written test. Even though the DMV told her to forget her crazy idea of ever getting a driver's license, Chloe was not detoured. She enrolled in night school and eventually passed the written test. Only to hit the next road block--no license classification for canines or any other animals for that matter!

So, Chloe founded the Pet Motor Vehicles (PMV) and began issuing Pet Driver's License® to all pets. Thus, Pet Driver's License® was born. At the PMV, requirements are lenient. No written test is required!

Chloe was also the founding member of Dogs Against Drunk Driving (D.A.D.D). Every pet issued a Pet Drivers License® at the PMV becomes an official member of D.A.D.D. All pets are welcome at D.A.D.D. including cats, goats, snakes, horses, mice, etc.

In August 2006, Chloe retired and Pet Driver's License® was sold and moved to Albuquerque, NM where Pet Driver's License® are still issued for all 50 states and Canada and for all types of pets.

Wrigley and Smokey have taken over the driving. They are actively spreading the word about PMV and how all pets can get a Pet Driver's License®.

Remember, always obey the traffic laws, never bark and drive, and keep both paws on the wheel! Happy Driving!

WARNING: Some pets should not drive.

All Pets are welcome at the PMV - No Humans Allowed!
